the Spring is back and in April we still discover the pleasure to travel between nature and art; the air is warm and the average temperature is
7°-10° C minimum, and around 18-22° maximum.
The month begins with the Sunday of Easter; in Italy this day and the following Monday are traditionally dedicated to gite fuori porta or trips
outside the door: People exit from the cities and
spend time in the country or the in the cities of art.
Be careful: in these days it is very important to reserve lodging and restaurants and not to travel on the motorway on Monday evening,
particularly between 7.00 pm and 10.00 pm, in order to avoid heavy traffic.
In this month I remind you that in Florence the "Arte Sublime nell'Antico Egitto",
an exhibition about the art of ancient Egyptian art, including a number of pieces from the museums of Cairo and
Luxor that have never left Egypt before; in Palazzo Strozzi from March 6 to July 4.
Another exhibition is in Vinci in the province of Florence, "The concept of the Modern City between 1400 and 1500", in the Palazzina Uzielli of Leonardo da Vinci
Museum, from March 27 to June 27.
In Poggibonsi, in the province of Siena religious celebrations in honour of Saint Lucchese, there will be fires on the banks of the Staggia river on the 28th April.
Among the medieval towers of San Gimignano (Siena), in the Holy Friday, traditional procession of the Saint Cross for the city ways.
